The article below was printed in the Winter 2007 edition of Wide Track News - the magazine of the Pontiac Owners Club.
It tells the tale of my ownership of a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, and the many tales of woe I went through in trying to maintain it and keep it on the road.
I did have a good few years of enjoyment out of it and was a regular at some of the Pontiac monthly meets (first at the B52 Diner in Southend and then at the Checkers Diner in Chelmsford)
I eventually sold the car in 2012 after deciding that time was not on my side and that with family and home life demands, the car was going to deteriorate faster than I could maintain it.
